Congratulations to the Under 13 ladies football team who took part in the Dublin Under 14 Feile on Saturday and Sunday last. The team is led by Michael Collins and Dawn Keogh.
The girls took part in Division 3 Feile compeition. Towers are a year shy of the compeition yet the talent in this squad gave great hope to all involved. The first 2 rounds were held in St.Peregines ground.Towers faced Erins Isle in the first match which they won convincingly with a scoreline of 4-9 to 0-3. Next up was St.Maurs which ended in a draw on a scoreline of 3-4 each.
These results sent Towers into a semi-final position on Sunday morning against a strong Ballyboden St.Endas.
The girls went out with great hope in Silver Park but however this wasn't their year. The girls lost out on a scoreline of 4-2 to 1-4. To reach a semi-final in the first year of the Feile leaves great encouragement for next year and shows the talent progressing in this squad.
Well done to all involved, mentors and players.
