Yesterday saw two great hurling matches from our under ten hurlers and from Tullamore under ten hurlers in a friendly encounter in Moyle park. A lot of credit to both sides and also to kids from different age groups who made up the numbers to play two 15-aside matches. Thanks to all mentors from the juvenile section who helped set up pitches and cheered on the kids, which were at least 70+ strong. Jimmy was great having the clubhouse opened early and ready for our visitors, and all the mammies laid on trays of sambo's and cakes, drinks that fed our legion of hurlers :) our sponsor(cakeman.ie) made a wonderful cake with both club crest's printed on the cake which our visitors were really impressed with.
Thanks also to our juvenile chairwoman Catherine Moran, she was like a sixteenth player for our side :) and made our Tullamore cousins feel very welcomed in her address in after match party in the clubhouse. A special mention to Mary, Dawn, Martina, and Jessica, who kept the food and drinks flowing, and stayed to clean up afterwards, couldn't have happened without them.
Proud day for towers, can't wait for the return trip :)
